Ummm…. VERY.

How important is spirituality in your life?

Incredibly important. It’s vital.

This question to me is like — how important is oxygen to you?

However, if you ask a child that question their response would probably be I don’t know. But there answer would only be I don’t know because they don’t have that awareness yet.

Just like oxygen gives you life, your spirit gives you life.

Just like anything, it’s a part of YOU worth tuning into and strengthening.

Your spirit is not something on the outside, it’s something you tap into. You become aware of this driving force, this power, and you give your gratitude.

You aren’t you without your spirit.

And think, we don’t own oxygen, it is gifted to us by the trees and even the oceans.

Your spirit as well is a gift. And that gift is gifted from God.

I LISTEN AS BEST AS I CAN

How do you practice self-care?

When I’m tired I sleep.

When I’m stressed or overwhelmed I say NO.

I don’t do things I don’t want to do.

I take my time.

I’m not friends with “the hustle” or “the grind”.

I get rid of stuff, and I get rid of stuff often (donate actually, but I get of stuff that no longer serves)

I read.

I pay attention to my seasons.

I take time for myself.

I love self care.

Work On Yourself And Change The World

What are you passionate about?

For me, I would say I am very passionate about doing the inner work.

Working on yourself, learning to love yourself, beginning to ask yourself more questions…..ABOUT YOURSELF.

Investigate your behaviors, your reactions, your responses…….there is just so much learn about who you are.

And when you begin to learn more about yourself you begin to better yourself. You begin to flourish, radiate, heal, and grow in a completely different way.

And that’s how you change the world if you’re really interested. You work on yourself.

It’s as simple as that.

Now I will add though, working on yourself is very hard. It’s opening all these doors that you locked and sealed without even knowing you locked and sealed. It’s difficult but I will say it’s worth it.

When you decide to embark on this journey I just want to remind you that you’re never alone.

I Prefer Spring Temperatures

How do you feel about cold weather?

*cringe*

I don’t like it.

I really don’t….that much.

I enjoy wearing jackets and hoodies….that’s fun and cute but overall I just really don’t enjoy being cold.

It’s funny because when I was younger I lived in Alaska for 4 years (5th grade to 8th grade) and I loved it. I loved the snow!

I loved sledding especially! As a child it was playful and fun. I’m laughing just reminiscing. Now I’m getting kind of sad.

They were fun times as a kid.

However being in my 30s now I just don’t want to be cold.

Well actually, I actually like sleeping when it’s a really cold because then I sleep deeply and I do love that.

Now I’m rambling, but you asked!

“If The World Was Blind……”

Do you have a quote you live your life by or think of often?

A quote I think of often goes something like,

“If the whole world was blind, except you, you would live your life a whole lot differently.”

I don’t remember where or when I heard this, although I know it’s been awhile.

And so when I’m experiencing something I do think of this quote often and I think how could I explain or describe this to a blind person.

Because let’s say I did live in that world, where the whole world was blind except me…..it most definitely would be different.

I wouldn’t be like, “oh the sunset is so pretty today, it’s pink, orange, and shades of purple.” The people wouldn’t know what I was talking about it.

So everything would be more poetic and feeling. I may say, “tonight’s sunset is so beautiful. Looking at this sunset is like,

….that one kiss. That one kiss when you were 15 and didn’t really know what you were doing but it was amazing. You walked into your house with a huge grin on your face and magic in your young heart. The sunset looks like that; youthful, bright, warm, present.”

We don’t realize how much we do for status, or perception. Or how much deeper we can get with things that we can experience and looking at things beyond the physical.

That quote really made me realize that and I love it for that.

I would most definitely still be blogging one hundred percent because blind people can read.

But I probably wouldn’t wear make up anymore lol.

First Thing That Comes To MIND – HA

Jot down the first thing that comes to your mind.

There was a recent writing prompt that encouraged others to share when they are most productive….

AND truth be told I am so incredibly productive when I’m really pissed off. Like, I am going to paint the bathroom today.

If my house is super clean, there may have been anger behind it lol!

Anyways, you all have the most beautiful day and thank for you for being here!

Slow

What are your morning rituals? What does the first hour of your day look like?

The first hour is a little chaotic. I have to have 3 kids out of bed, fed, dressed, lunches made, water bottles made, backpack ready, and usually ready for some attitude.

But once the kids are taken to school it’s just me and my two year son and I have a moment to breathe and look around.

I always get my coffee (just cream added) , my planner, and I kind of just sit for a little bit. Like right now I’m actually sitting outside listening to some music because the weather is beautiful and to be honest my mood is a little somber today.

But for the most part everyday I take a moment to be present. Whatever that looks like.

And later I will make myself a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel with unsalted butter whilst I enjoy a small cup of orange juice and probably continue reflecting a little bit.

I just did a little of writing and later I’ll finish a podcast I’m listening to about confidence.

I don’t know…. I’m sure my morning may sound boring to some but I truly take joy in these slow un-rushed mornings. I enjoy my own presence, time with the divine and yea……

I kind of ranted there but it’s a raw response.

Perspective On Life Events And The Passage Of The Time

How do significant life events or the passage of time influence your perspective on life?

First of all, I feel like I just had deja vu, that’s always a little weird.

But how do significant life events or the passage of time influence my life………….

they just do.

As these “significant life events” happen, or as time goes as it does…..it’s like, your vision becomes more and more clear.

And the funny thing is while you live you don’t even realize that you have blurry vision.

Think for a moment of those people who believe they have fairly good vision and then they visit the eye doctor and optometrist hands them a pair of glasses and then the person is in complete shock and disbelief and had no idea this level of detail could exist within the eyes!

That’s what it’s like.

I think I’m seeing clear or decent or whatever, only to be handed a new pair of “glasses”.

But it’s beautiful though isn’t……growing, learning, thinking we know things only to realize there is so much MORE. And the more has been around us the whole time.

It’s takes those significant moments and time to recognize the MORE.

And I can find beauty in that and be grateful for it.
